Remote Laboratory Assessments
AASHTO re:source will resume on-site assessments (rather than remote assessments) in all parts of the United States starting July 25, 2022. We will continue to perform remote assessments for customers outside of the United States. We will continue to offer remote assessments for all laboratories that need a supplemental assessment in order to add standards to their current scope of accreditation. [Please view the Return to On-Site Assessments Announcement for complete details.]
A remote assessment is conducted using a combination of desktop auditing, online web conferencing, and video streaming in order to obtain evidence of compliance to quality management system and testing standards. Review the Policy and Guidance on Remote Assessments for full details.
Check out the FAQs and Tests and Fees pages for those details regarding remote laboratory assessments.
A remote assessment infographic, flowchart and checklist are also available for more information. Scroll down to the bottom of the page for a short video tutorial.
Review the Remote Assessment Documentation Guide to see what documentation you will need to submit prior to your remote assessment.
