On Friday, July 30, 2021, AASHTO released the Standard Specifications for Transportation Materials and Methods of Sampling and Testing, and AASHTO Provisional Standards, 41st Edition—2021 (the “Materials Standards”). Be advised that AASHTO currently released the PDF Download version of the standards; the five-volume paperback version is being printed and will be available to purchase in September 2021.

On August 6, 2018, the AASHTO Accreditation and Laboratory Assessment Programs will be adding a new Rock scope to their programs. We will be moving the some methods from the Soils scope to the Rock scope. This additional scope will not impact the cost of an on-site assessment or your laboratory’s AASHTO Accreditation status. It will only change how these tests are listed on your laboratory’s assessment reports, request forms, and accreditation listing/certificate of accreditation.
