Save the Date for the 2020 Technical Exchange!

Sep 27, 2019

Mark your calendars and save the date!

Event: 2020 AASHTO re:source Technical Exchange
Date: March 23-26, 2020
Location: Renaissance Minneapolis Hotel, The Depot, Minneapolis, MN
Website: www.aashtoresource.org/events

Planning is underway for the fourth annual AASHTO re:source Technical Exchange.  This unique event has proven to be a great opportunity for laboratory managers, quality managers, supervisors, and technicians to learn more about quality and testing in the construction materials testing (CMT) industry.  Attendees will have many opportunities to interact and learn from each other in workshop and open forum settings. An added benefit to attendees is having the opportunity to provide their input into AASHTO re:source’s programs and services, as well as future conferences.

Sessions are presented by AASHTO re:source staff, industry leaders, and other subject matter experts. Anticipated guest speakers in Minneapolis include:

  • Amanda Holland, Managing Director at Office of Management and Budget, State of Alaska, presenting on workforce development;
  • Ed Mooers, Chief Operating Officer at NextLOGiK, presenting on data security;
  • Tom Taylor, Principal, Director of Laboratory Services at Specialized Engineering, presenting on laboratory management;
  • Leo Titus Jr., Subsidiary President at ECS Mid-Atlantic, LLC., presenting on special inspections;
  • Benjamin Trujillo, Owner of Integrated Quality, presenting on quality management and corrective action;
  • Gary Pasquarell, Senior Engineer at Froehling & Robertson, Inc., presenting on concrete materials;
  • Michele Wolf, Quality Assurance Specialist at USGS, presenting on change management.

Over 40 breakout sessions are planned for the conference, including 15 brand new sessions.  View the 2020 draft agenda online and see a recap of 2019 event, including attendee feedback.

Last year’s event drew over 220 CMT professionals from across the United States and beyond.  Registration for the 2020 event will tentatively open in November 2019.  Our Events webpage (www.aashtoresource.org/events) will be updated as more details are finalized.
