Effective January 1, 2024, the AASHTO re:source Laboratory Assessment Program (LAP) will implement a new hourly-rate fee structure for on-site assessments. This replaces the current half-day fee structure and is a more accurate and fair representation of our staff's time spent at your laboratory. This change was made in part due to feedback received from customers on potential inaccuracies of the half-day fee structure.

AASHTO re:source will resume on-site assessments (rather than remote assessments) in all parts of the United States starting July 25, 2022. We will continue to perform remote assessments for customers outside of the United States. We will continue to offer remote assessments for all laboratories that need a supplemental assessment in order to add standards to their current scope of accreditation.

On August 6, 2018, the AASHTO Accreditation and Laboratory Assessment Programs will be adding a new Rock scope to their programs. We will be moving the some methods from the Soils scope to the Rock scope. This additional scope will not impact the cost of an on-site assessment or your laboratory’s AASHTO Accreditation status. It will only change how these tests are listed on your laboratory’s assessment reports, request forms, and accreditation listing/certificate of accreditation.
