Upcoming Fee Changes from AASHTO re:source

May 20, 2026

Like many organizations, AASHTO re:source is facing rising operational costs. These changes help ensure we can maintain consistent, high-quality programs while also investing in improvements that directly benefit our customers.

AASHTO Accreditation Program (AAP)

For the April 1, 2026–March 31, 2027 billing cycle, the annual AAP fee will increase by $50 for both the base fee and the cap. This increase will help in funding the redevelopment of our accreditation management system. These fee increases will be reflected in all part-year invoices starting on July 1, 2026 and in the annual invoices that are issued starting at the end of March 2027. Laboratory Assessment Program (LAP)

LAP fees will increase by approximately 5% due to rising travel-related expenses, including fuel, airfare, hotels, and rental vehicles. LAP last raised fees in January 2024.

For assessments occurring after July 6, 2026, the following fee structure will apply, regardless of when the request was submitted:

  • Base Fee: $1,050

  • Hourly Assessment Fee: $370 per hour

  • Out-of-Sequence Assessments: $780 out-of-sequence fee, plus applicable travel expenses, base fee, and hourly fee

Proficiency Sample Program (PSP)

For sample rounds occurring from January 1–December 31, 2027, PSP sample fees will increase by an average of approximately 2% across all 20 sample types in the program. Some sample types will see a larger increase, while some sample types may see no fee change. This adjustment reflects higher rates associated with shipping, duties and taxes, packaging supply costs, raw materials, and fuel surcharges. These fee increases will be reflected in the bulk billing period starting September 1, 2026. [View current fees and other related information for this program.
