Recap of 2023 Changes to AASHTO Accreditation Prerequisites

Jan 03, 2024

In 2023 the following changes were made to the AASHTO Accreditation Policy and Guidance on Prerequisites for Accreditation:

  • Added prerequisites for ASTM C1293, rule 27 [see pages 4 and 11].
  • Revised rule 14 to always require ASTM D4543 to maintain accreditation for ASTM D7012 [see pages 5 and 9].
  • Added rules 28 and 29 [see pages 5 and 11].

AASHTO Accredited laboratories must include the appropriate standards on their next assessment request form. Questions about these changes can be directed to your Quality Analyst.
